A store counts when the portal has at least one live offer for it that day. Sign-up links are referral links: Savewise may earn a bonus when you join a portal through them. See how we count, or check System Health for sync status.

Which portal pays the most at your store?

Look up any store to compare every portal's rate side by side, with offer history, card-linked offers and discounted gift cards.

What Is a Shopping Portal?

A shopping portal (also called a cash back site or rewards portal) pays you for shopping at an online store through its link. The store pays the portal a commission for sending a customer, and the portal shares part of that commission with you. You pay the same price you would by going to the store directly.

Rewards come in different currencies depending on who runs the portal: dollars from cash back sites like Rakuten and TopCashBack, miles from airline portals like AAdvantage eShopping or MileagePlus Shopping, and points from bank portals like Chase's Shop through Chase.

How Shopping Portals Work

  1. Start at the portal. Sign in, find the store, and click through to its website.
  2. Shop as usual. The portal's tracking link tells the store where you came from. Keep ad blockers off and don't click another portal or coupon site before you check out.
  3. Your reward shows as pending. Usually within a few days of the purchase.
  4. It pays out later. After the store's return window closes, often 30 to 90 days, the reward is confirmed and paid to your account or loyalty program.

Rates change constantly. The same store can pay 2% one week and 10% the next on the same portal, which is why Savewise keeps a daily offer history for every store and portal, and lets you set an alert for the rate you're waiting for.

Cash Back, Miles or Points: Which Kind of Portal Is Best?

Cash Back Portals are the simplest: a percentage or a flat amount back in dollars. Airline and Hotel Portals pay a fixed number of miles or points per dollar, and are usually worth it when you value that currency at more than a cent each. Credit Card Portals pay in your bank's points, which can be worth more when they transfer to airline and hotel partners.

Comparing them takes a common unit. Savewise converts every offer to an estimated value per dollar using a points valuation for each currency, which you can customize, so "5 miles per $1" and "4% cash back" can be ranked side by side.

Does the Number of Stores Matter?

A large catalog means a portal is more likely to cover the store you shop at, which is useful if you only want to check one site. But the biggest portal is rarely the best at every store. Portals compete store by store, and a smaller portal often pays more at the store you're about to buy from.

Use the counts above to see how broad each portal is, then compare rates on the store page before you buy. The Portal Leaderboard shows which portals finish top 3 most often at popular stores.

Stack a Portal With Card Offers and Gift Cards

A portal is one layer of savings. On the same purchase you can usually also use a card-linked offer (like an Amex Offer or Chase Offer), pay with a discounted gift card, and earn your credit card's bonus category. Each layer comes from a different place, so they add up.

Savewise shows every layer on one store page and lists stores where they combine on the Stackable Offers page. Only one portal can track a purchase, so the goal is the best portal plus everything else that stacks with it.

What Savewise Supports

  • 28 shopping portals, listed above, compared at every store with daily rates and offer history.
  • Card-linked offers from Amex, Chase, Citi and SimplyMiles, synced from your own accounts. Sync status.
  • Discounted gift cards that can be stacked with a portal.
  • Wallet: add your credit cards to see which one earns the most at each store, plus the benefits and credits you have.
  • Offer alerts when a store's portal rate reaches the level you want.
  • A browser extension for Chrome, Safari and Firefox, and an iPhone app, so the comparison is there when you shop.

How We Count Stores

Every morning Savewise collects the current offer at every store on each portal above, and some portals are refreshed again during the day. A store counts toward a portal when that portal has at least one live offer for it on the date shown. A store is counted once per portal, however many times its rate changed that day. The total at the top counts each store once, even if it's on many portals.

Counts follow what portals list, so they move when stores join, leave or pause their programs, and a portal can briefly read lower while its data is being refreshed. A portal showing "No offers today" usually means its data didn't update; System Health shows the current status.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a shopping portal?

A shopping portal is a website that pays you a reward for shopping at an online store through its link. Stores pay the portal a commission for sending them a customer, and the portal passes part of it back to you as cash back, airline miles or credit card points.

Which shopping portal has the most stores?

Store counts change every day as stores join, leave or pause their offers, so check the table at the top of this page for today's numbers. As of November 8, 2026, the portal with the most stores on Savewise is Price.com, with offers at 19,054 stores. More stores doesn't always mean a better portal: what matters is which one pays the most at the store you're about to buy from.

How does Savewise count the stores on each portal?

Every morning Savewise collects the current offer at every store on every portal it tracks, and some portals are refreshed again during the day. A store counts toward a portal when that portal has at least one live offer for it on the date shown. Each store is counted once per portal, even if its rate changes during the day.

Are shopping portals free to use?

Yes. Shopping portals are free to join and you pay the same price you would by going to the store directly. Some airline and card portals require a loyalty account or a specific credit card to earn.

Can I use more than one shopping portal at the same time?

Only one shopping portal can track a single purchase. The store credits the last portal link you clicked, so pick the one paying the most before you check out. You can still stack that portal with a card-linked offer, a discounted gift card and your credit card’s own rewards.

Why didn’t my shopping portal reward track?

The most common reasons are ad blockers or privacy extensions removing the tracking cookie, opening another portal or coupon site before checkout, using a coupon code the store excludes, or buying an excluded item such as a gift card. Rewards also take time: most portals show a pending reward within a few days and pay it out weeks or months later, after the store’s return window closes.

Which shopping portals does Savewise support?

Savewise compares 28 shopping portals: cash back portals like Rakuten, TopCashBack and BeFrugal, airline portals from American, United, Delta, Southwest, Alaska, JetBlue, British Airways and others, Rove Miles, and credit card portals including Chase, Capital One Offers and Rakuten’s Amex and Bilt option. The full list, with today’s store counts, is at the top of this page.

How do I find the best shopping portal for a store?

Look up the store on Savewise. Its store page lists every portal’s current rate side by side, converted to the same value so cash back, miles and points can be compared, along with offer history, card-linked offers and discounted gift cards for that store. The Savewise browser extension shows the same comparison automatically when you visit a store’s website.
